Senate Republicans Unveil New Health Care Plan

Senate republicans introduced another health care plan to replace the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), and if you are keeping count that is plan number 3, including the House plan.

So what have we learned from these republican plans to replace Obamacare?

Well, republicans seem to not give a damn about poor people being able to afford healthcare, and they don’t really care about keep campaign promises.

Throughout Trump’s campaign he said he would not make cuts to Medicaid

But President Trump celebrated the House health care plan; The American Health Care Act (AHCA) in the White House Rose Garden when the House passed its plan. A plan that included approximately $834 billion in cuts to Medicaid

What happened President Trump?

What happened to republicans promising to lower deductibles and premiums?

In the beginning of the year on Face the Nation, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell talked about the status quo being “unacceptable” with premiums and deductibles being too high. The problem is that healthcare plans from both the House and Senate fail to address what they have promised. And they lead to more Americans being without health insurance. Their plans offer cheap programs that will allow insurers to deny coverage due to pre-existing conditions while deductibles remain high.

How does these plans offered by Republicans Make America Great Again???

What’s so great about making it more difficult for the less fortunate to receive affordable health care?

Kristaps Porzingis STILL Needs Carmelo Anthony….

Kristaps Porzingis STILL needs Carmelo Anthony

Yup, I said it, and have always believed it and Porzingis aka “The Unicorn” believes it as well.

“I think it would make life harder for me on the court (if Anthony was traded),” Porzingis told the Daily News. “He makes stuff easier for me.”

When KP and the Knicks defeated the NJ Nets Wednesday night, Knicks’ fans who have booed Melo at MSG finally saw their vision come true; KP leading the Knicks without Melo (on the bench for the 4th quarter).

As a Knicks fan I am always happy when the Knicks win, but we have to be realistic. KP is 0-8 when Melo doesn’t play, and I realize it’s a small sample size but still relevant. KP will be a very good and possibly a great player but he still has a lot to learn and prove in the NBA.

“There’s still a lot more things I want to learn from Melo,” Porzingis told The News. “So I would love to have him around for a long time. I always love playing with Melo.”

So Knicks fans, while I agree that it maybe time for Melo to be traded, at the same time we have to be careful of a couple of things. We can’t afford to get rid of Melo and get trash in return, and the organization needs a plan moving forward to develop KP and have an identity for the Knicks.

One last thing… Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday Knicks fans will miss Melo when he is gone!

Gregg Popovich Sounds off on Donald Trump…

Gregg Popovich is known for his straight to the point interviews with NBA sideline reporters (especially Craig Sager).

In an interview Friday, Popovich shared his thoughts/feelings about the election of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States.

In the interview Popovich referred to Trump as a race baiter and a whole lot more…..

“Right now I’m just trying to formulate thoughts. It’s too early. I’m just sick to my stomach. Not basically because the Republicans won or anything, but the disgusting tenure and tone and all of the comments that have been xenophobic, homophobic, racist, misogynistic.

“I live in that country where half of the people ignored all of that to elect someone. That’s the scariest part of the whole thing to me. It’s got nothing to do with the environment and Obamacare, and all of the other stuff. We live in a country that ignored all of those values that we would hold our kids accountable for. They’d be grounded for years if they acted and said the things that have been said in that campaign by Donald Trump.

“I look at the Evangelicals and I wonder, those values don’t mean anything to them? All of those values to me are more important than anybody’s skill in business or anything else because it tells who we are, and how we want to live, and what kind of people we are. That’s why I have great respect for people like Lindsey Graham and John McCain, John Kasich, who I disagree with on a lot of political things, but they had enough fiber and respect for humanity and tolerance for all groups to say what they said about the man.

“That’s what worries me. I get it, of course we want to be successful, we’re all going to say that. Everybody wants to be successful, it’s our country, we don’t want it to go down the drain. But any reasonable person would come to that conclusion, but it does not take away the fact that he used that fear mongering, and all of the comments, from day one, the race baiting with trying to make Barack Obama, our first black president, illegitimate. It leaves me wondering where I’ve been living, and with whom I’m living.

“The fact that people can just gloss that over, start talking about the transition team, and we’re all going to be kumbaya now and try to make the country good without talking about any of those things. And now we see that he’s already backing off of immigration and Obamacare and other things, so was it a big fake, which makes you feel it’s even more disgusting and cynical that somebody would use that to get the base that fired up. To get elected. And what gets lost in the process are African-Americans, and Hispanics, and women, and the gay population, not to mention the eighth grade developmental stage exhibited by him when he made fun of the handicapped person. I mean, come on. That’s what a seventh grade, eighth grade bully does. And he was elected president of the United States. We would have scolded our kids. We would have had discussions until we were blue in the face trying to get them to understand these things. He is in charge of our country. That’s disgusting.”

“One could go on and on, we didn’t make this stuff up. He’s angry at the media because they reported what he said and how he acted. That’s ironic to me. It makes no sense. So that’s my real fear, and that’s what gives me so much pause and makes me feel so badly that the country is willing to be that intolerant and not understand the empathy that’s necessary to understand other group’s situations. I’m a rich white guy, and I’m sick to my stomach thinking about it. I can’t imagine being a Muslim right now, or a woman, or an African-American, a Hispanic, a handicapped person. How disenfranchised they might feel. And for anyone in those groups that voted for him, it’s just beyond my comprehension how they ignore all of that. My final conclusion is, my big fear is — we are Rome.”

Matt Harvey Opts For Season-Ending Surgery #DarkKnight

Matt Harvey‘s season long nightmare has come to an end, as he has decided to have season-ending surgery to address the recently diagnosed condition thoracic outlet syndrome. This occurs when muscles in the neck and shoulders impinge on nerves leading to numbness and loss of strength and stamina in the shoulder and arm.

All season long Harvey has insisted that he just could not get comfortable on the mound, and it was evident by his performance. The pitcher known as the Dark Knight lost his feel for the game, his pitches, and the love of many Mets fans (Not this one, just saying).

And while surgery is never a good thing, especially for a pitcher and his arm. Harvey seems relieved to know that there was something physically wrong possibly causing his issues.

I can’t wait for the Dark Knight to rise again next season!

Taylor Swift’s New Apple Commercial

In 2015 Taylor Swift made headlines when she used her influence to pressure Apple into making sure writers, producers and artist were being going to be paid when Apple dropped their streaming service with a free trial period.

Well it looks like  Swift and Apple are cool again with the release of this new Apple Music commercial starring Swift.

HAHAHA, it’s always a good look when those in the lime-light can make fun of themselves.

When can we see Swift rapping Kanye West lyrics?

Kristaps Porzingis #HotlineZing

You use to boo me on my draft day….

Kristaps Porzingis has taken the NBA by storm in the first half of the season, so be prepared for Porzingis mentions during NBA All-Star weekend in Toronto. Having the 4th most sold jersey in the NBA will get you a lot of love from the media, and apparently it will also make you the feature of a song parody of Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’….

As a Knicks fan I am cool with all this attention, just at the end of the day… Stay Focus my man, Stay Focus!!
